hookem1014 Posted Tuesday at 10:57 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:57 PM This is just pathetic journalism. “Synonymous with failure” give me a break. The same people who hyped him up can’t wait to see him fall. 1 1 Quote

TexasLonghorns Posted Tuesday at 11:09 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:09 PM Arch is fine. The OL and coaching, not so much. 1 Quote
Robert Gilbert Posted Tuesday at 11:43 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:43 PM The same publications, websites, and pundits who proclaimed him the Heisman favorite, and future #1 pick are now tearing him down because Arch did not live up to their unrealistic projections. Just as Gerry has said. 7 Quote

I think if you turn it around as a player or a coach (win a conference once championship or national championship), you should get to slap 2 journalist who have wrote or said over 3 negative things about you. I’m here for the violence 🍿 1 Quote

TexasMDcoach Posted yesterday at 12:20 AM Posted yesterday at 12:20 AM I saw all I needed to see last game to know Arch is going to be great. That kid fought his heart out and carried his team with toughness and shear will power. I can guarantee you that if his teammates didn’t believe in him they do now. 7 Quote
Rivalrygameblock Posted yesterday at 12:30 AM Posted yesterday at 12:30 AM When reading about this great sport, the ex-Deadspin schmucks like Leitch shouldn’t be near anyone’s author list. Quote
NothinButDaHorns34 Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM Can’t wait for them to be singing his praises and back to kissing his ass when he STILL finds a way to go first overall in a couple of years. Quote
horns96 Posted yesterday at 12:52 AM Posted yesterday at 12:52 AM It's the Athletic, a property of NYT, but if we want to talk journalism, we can go. Out of respect to @Bobby Burton, I'll wait. @Gerry Hamilton told us over and over this would happen and here we are. Quote
Hashtag Posted yesterday at 12:55 AM Posted yesterday at 12:55 AM If you don't want negative stories about you then play better and be better. That goes for Arch, Sark, anyone else on the team, and the team as a whole. You all loved the press when they were hyping our players and their comments to them. 1 1 1 Quote

TTown Posted yesterday at 02:41 PM Posted yesterday at 02:41 PM Yes the story was unfair in many ways. Arch has issues for sure. But man he is tough and you can see some good things are starting to click. Plus behind that line it is so hard to evaluate him fairly also . Shut em up by better play because those stories are already written about his failure just waiting to be published. Then all you will see is an agenda for clicks that won't match his achievements. 1 Quote
alrightalrightalright Posted yesterday at 02:49 PM Posted yesterday at 02:49 PM I’m positive I’ve never looked to the NYT for football analysis and I’ll continue with that mindset. Thanks for helping further confirm that we’re not missing anything there Quote
DanielOnorato Posted yesterday at 03:13 PM Posted yesterday at 03:13 PM Gerry talked about it before the season but this article coming off of that gritty performance may just be what it takes to galvanize this team and have them pissed off to support their QB the rest of the way! 1 Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted yesterday at 03:22 PM Moderators Posted yesterday at 03:22 PM The fact that Longhorns, Aggies and Sooners are in agreement that this article crossed a line speaks volumes that someone at The Athletic, at the editorial level, massively dropped the ball. 4 Quote
