Texas fan in Georgia Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Hearing rumblings that Florida has offered kiffin an annual of $13.5 Million a year, which would make kiffin the highest paid coach in CFB. I don’t see him turning that down. But $13.5M for a coach that hasn’t even had a playoff appearance? Quote
NothinButDaHorns34 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I don’t see the attraction to kiffin at all. They will win, But never the big games or see the playoffs. 1 Quote
Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted 5 hours ago Moderators Posted 5 hours ago Not sure if the number put out is 100%, but it’s close enough Marcus Freeman was No. 1, said no. Kiffin is No. 2 IMO, he has to take it and will take it 6 1 Quote
Thailand T Sip Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Hey Gerry, mid season? Are we there yet, now that coaches are being fired 3 games into the season? Quote

Hookem72 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It is either real or a rumor floated by Sexton. Either way, whoever is getting hired by UF has a number out in the public of what they are willing to pay Quote

Sanka Decaf Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Let's say Kiffin takes the job, what is the level of concern that it will impact any of our Florida commits/targets for 2026? Quote

What he has done at Mississippi has been amazing, with the talent in Florida and the NIL, he will win and win big. USC was an aberration because of probation. Quote

drag worm Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Put me on the record of thinking Kiffin does really well at Florida. Especially if he gets the NIL guarantees he needs. They’ll start locking down all the Florida dudes we’ve been cherry picking. 1 Quote

If they lose, which they shouldn't, because OU can't score against any defense with a semblance of talent, then the players are mailing it in because they know. 1 Quote

Of course, any job takes making the correct hire 1 Quote

I disagree, he also messed up at TN and his reputation for being a disloyal POS is growing and growing. Also, if he has success at FL the odds are he’ll jump to NFL or bigger contract elsewhere. I think he’ll flame out at FL. To me he and Herman are cut from the same cloth. 1 Quote

Kiffin's at least been successful since then at FAU and Ole Miss, Herman's trajectory has gone the other way and to now his only sniff at success as HC of a program was at Houston. 1 Quote
Glass Joe Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Kiffin will be wildly successful at Florida. What he’s done at Ole Miss with a fraction of the talent and resources he would have at Florida is already historical (by Ole Miss standards). Kiffin has an offensive system that scales. His current QB is a D2 transfer that arrived at Ole Miss in June to back-up Austin Simmons…and Ole Miss’ offense doesn’t skip a beat. I don’t think Kiffin enjoys recruiting much, but he knows to hire assistants who do. In the state of Florida, he’ll have an in-state advantage in the most talent-rich recruiting state in the country. As long as Florida competes in the NIL space, Kiffin’s rosters will be as talented as any in the country. And if you’re an offensive player, you’ve already got proof of concept that Kiffin’s system scores big points against the top teams in the SEC. This is as close to a no-brainer for success as Florida can possibly have. Now, let’s hope they can screw it up 😂 1 Quote
