This is just a guess: LT - Baker LG - Sikorski C - Robertson RG - I have no idea. Move Chatman inside? RT - Siani Any guesses other than starting three tackles? I’m sure they’ll cross train Baker since he’s the swing OT, but I’m sure they’ll get him tons of guard reps first and foremost. Start of Spring, I’d guess: LT - Chatman / Turntine LG - Baker / Christian C - Robertson / Sikorski RG - *Portal / Sikorski or Coleman RT - Siani / Newman Ultimately, I believe Chatman is probably the backup LG, but for Spring he probably needs to take LT snaps so that Baker can get LG reps. Chatman has previously repped at both Come fall: LT - Goosby / Siani LG - Baker / Chatman C - Robertson / Sikorski RG - *Portal / Sikorski or Coleman RT - Siani / Baker 🤘🏼 1 Quote

Signing one dude with a handful of starts at Oregon state is not that. Yes we got a haul of dudes from the portal to be very excited about but it’s still very disappointing the way OL was addressed. You know what? You finally convinced me. It just took you writing 500 posts with the same message for me to see the light. Why are we even lacing ‘em up this year? @Gerry Hamilton @Bobby Burton @CJ Vogel @Rod Babers @Jeff Howe Please let the team and coaches know that because we didn’t sign a JAG Guard out of the portal, we are going to be trash this year. None of the guys on the roster have a chance to step up and play well. Not sure what they are even doing on the roster tbh. Just have everyone redshirt this year so we can wait for a shot next portal season. It’s all Flood’s fault that the good guards decided to stay at their current schools instead of coming to Texas. Nothing else is at fault. Just Flood…send him to the woodshed. See yall in 2027 because we have no shot this year… 🤦🏻♂️ 🤦🏻♂️ 🤦🏻♂️ 🤦🏻♂️ 🤦🏻♂️ 🤦🏻♂️ 1 6 Quote

At that position of need and fell short. Effort to land the best OL guys is and was there. It’s not been ignored. I transferred for a sport to Texas, and it’s effing difficult…much easier to stay ant first school. Anyway. Texas tried to big game hunt, & we are all learning you don’t just pluck anyone you want. I also think there’s still what 5-6k players in said portal? This is my issue and what I feel like the OTF staff is not quite getting. I love the otf family and they're not the staff so the blame is not on them but folks aren't upset about Texas identifying the Michigan guys and making strong offers that were turned down. We get that it wasn't realistic to expect perfection but what's annoying is the team not acknowledging how badly the staff pivoted (or failed to pivot) afterwards. A guy like Tellek Lockette was seemingly just sitting in the portal for weeks from right down the road at Texas St and it seemed Texas kept playing around with the idea of bringing him on campus to visit but then would decide last minute to not. There's also All-American guard Laurence Seymore out of Western Kentucky who doesn't seem like we've shown any interest maybe because he's only 6'2 and isn't a big enough human. If Texas pivoted and waved those two in and we had an oline portal class of Siani, Seymore, Lockett, Sikorski & Newman then I think most people would feel like the needs were addressed. Sure, they aren't all grand slams or even homeruns but sometimes even just singles & doubles with a sacrifice bunt can get the job done. That's where Sark has failed and the otf staff not acknowledging that is where I think some of the frustration with them lies. 2 2 Quote

Probably Chatman to Lt Exactly and the crazy thing is Baker also didn't play LT in HS at Mater Dei. They kept him at RT and put a natural guard at the next level (guy that committed to Auburn over us who I can't remember the name of currently) at LT instead. Quote

This would be a reasonable take if every option was over and this was the final roster. That’s the frustrating part of the negative ned’s here. Texas was rejected bgh. Instead of grabbing bodies, they’re playing the long game before grabbing equivalents to those you mentioned or they really do like who’s already here. Y’all are mad, unreasonably imo, that we didn’t get the cam of guards. The really frustrating part is negative folks have marathon stamina and just keep repeating their feelings, not facts. The worst part is they get upset when others don’t participate in negativity. Why? In general, negative people will always find the problem in anything and bullhorn about it. There is no solution to it because everything in life has something to point to if one chooses to see it. It’s so important in life to be intentional with whom you associate. Negativity is an emotional forest fire and if allowed in, it’s so easy to find kinder. The opposite side, while much smaller, is also frustrating in that nothing is ever wrong and blind trust anchors their lenses. The result? A site of opposing views that gums up the board by confusing louder and quantity with influence and perspective. Very little nuance or football centric discussion, just check out my feelings that things aren’t going how I wanted which somehow turns into something they were promised or guaranteed. We were told one thing. Texas would be all in much differently than the past. This has played out unequivocally true. Throwing in more expensive hats doesn’t mean you’ll win. Hell, y’all are most mad about folks that didn’t even enter the portal. Now you’re mad about failing plan b when it hasn’t finished yet. See? Always something to find fault in. This isn’t a chat room. It’s a site to discuss things On Texas Football. It’s becoming a site with how people irrationally feel about not getting what they wanted or expected. 1 Quote

We have sorely been needing angry people movers at guard. Quote
