TexTheHorn24 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Techs president putting out that statement just proves to me they have zero shame at all in all this. 7 Quote

I didn’t think NIL could be tied to “pay for play” - if I’m Sorsby and I enroll at Tech, I’m waiting 100% of my check. Quote
TexTheHorn24 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago sorsby does the “I’m magically cured now” act to save face and try and keep his 5+ Million dollar deal 4 Quote

Ronnie Barnhardt Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 5 minutes ago, WRNC said: Members of Texas Tech’s primary NIL collective met this afternoon and discussed holding back roughly half of Sorsby's vacated funds to create an aggressive emergency transfer portal fund. Texas Tech intends to use its financial leverage to poach a late-graduating or disgruntled backup quarterback from another elite program before the July enrollment deadlines. That is the fakest Twitter account I've seen in some time Quote

All of college football has to seriously question tech’s ethics and integrity. They quoted everything they could from the NCAA except the actual rule that he obviously violated. They clearly spent a lot of time and resources crafting their strategy and response. Makes you wonder when tech knew about these gambling problems and if they tried to cover it up before this hit the news. Now you have to ask questions like that about tech. 2 Quote
Burntcowboy Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I don’t feel sorry for Tech one bit. I hope they lose every game 4 Quote

They’d be better off letting Lloyd Jones play the first few games and hope Hammond can take over from there…oh wait they don’t believe in actually developing the QBs they recruit Quote
Lnghrn Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Cody Campbell is such a hypocrite. Putting tv commercials out their taking about saving college athletics, but then tries to circumvent ncaa gambling rules and the overall fabric of competitive sports. If the courts allow a gambling addict to participate in a team sport then Texas tech and Cody Campbell have done more to potentially hurt college athletics than anyone. 6 Quote

Little Carmine Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago So the rest of the college football world now knows what we have known all along - Tech is a joke program with zero ethics, least shocking thing ever Quote

Alex Butler Posted 34 minutes ago Posted 34 minutes ago This is the perfect time for Cody Campbell and Joey McGuire to declare, as @Gerry Hamilton said, that he is no longer a part of the team as a result of this and agree with the NCAA’s decision. 2 Quote
Colby TS Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago (edited) 1 hour ago, CJ Vogel said: I am sure they will fight to do so. Well, taking back $5 million certainly wouldn’t help Sorsby’s mental health, and Tech has been very outspoken about protecting and supporting his mental health. Obviously, this is a joke before anyone takes it seriously. Edited 29 minutes ago by Colby TS Quote
Loyd Dalton Posted 29 minutes ago Posted 29 minutes ago Tech has always been a joke! The statement by the President is laughable! Follow the rules...................... its as simple as that! 2 Quote
Leveller Posted 1 minute ago Posted 1 minute ago Tech seems to have principles only when it doesn’t cost them anything. They just voted for tough rules against gambling by players in November. Fast forward 6 months and those principles are gone because it could cost them a player. https://www.si.com/college-football/brendan-sorsby-case-challenges-ncaa-gambling-rules-texas-tech-once-backed#:~:text=That's more information than the,has admitted to doing so.
