Our defense was at least as talented as Oregon’s last year and Tech did what against them?  With Muschamp at the reins Campbbell will conveniently forget he made this challenge.  I believe we will have the best dline in the country by the end of the year and Tech hasn’t really improved their trenches.  They will be exposed again against deep defensive teams—which their arent many of in the Big 12 other than BYU—and BYU is more of a gritty fundamentals team with a lot of Samoans from what it looks like to me.

Sark wasn’t bluffing

You’ll have to ask Sark why he brought up Tech unprovoked

He didn’t bring up Tech. He brought up the schedule they played. Said nothing about Tech’s team.

This is what is mind blowing to me, how no one (including Joey Maguire) seems to understand what Sark actually said.

This exactly! You’d think Sark said Tech sucked, had a terrible roster, and completely bashed the program. It’s laughable. I’d bet the majority of people saying stuff like “Joey called out Sark’s bluff” don’t even know what question Sark was actually asked.

Sark doesn’t get to hide behind semantics now. You also can’t talk another other people’s schedules when you lose to Florida and struggle with Kentucky and Mississippi State

Yet the Buckeyes struggled with Texas.  At home.

Are you saying Texas is the equivalent of Mississippi State & Kentucky? Oof

Weird flex that a fan of another school would pay to come on another teams site to bash the coach. But you do you. Thanks for the donation.

I’m sorry that you don’t understand the reality of the situation. Don’t stoop to Tech’s level on this. I have more respect for your program

Isn’t that what you inferred?  So we’re all kinda on the same plane, right?

The first thing on anyone’s mind when talking about outcomes should be the dynamics surrounding the game regarding the timing of the game and the environment.  Few, if any, major programs were away from home for 3 and 4 consecutive games.  Those were those games.

So as I’ve referenced several times in my days, those four games represent the entirety of Old Miss and Miami away from home schedule for the full year.  It doesn’t absolve poor play, but it does matter.

Sark doesn’t hide from anything and is making no attempt to do so.  Oof
See you soon. Bring lots of sunscreen!🤣🤣🤣

Thank you. I have more respect for Tech than I do Texas at the moment.

Yikes. Given what is going on with their QB, don’t admit that to people lol. I guess this is at least a semi-safe space. We’ll keep it between us

Either way, I think we all know TTU/UT happening isn’t a reality. It would be amazing and would be so good for CFB if that opened week one, but Ohio State wouldn’t do it either (if in Texas’ shoes).

Hell, Ohio State rarely will even schedule Cincinnati for the same reasons.

Ohio State should play Notre Dame week one an then play Texas.

Ryan Day doesn’t worry about other programs. I would be embarrassed if Day was more worried about Notre Dame than Texas.

Sark asked for this. I don't give a shxt who we're recruiting, but why on earth would we punch down like this???  Now Tech feels acknowledged and relevant.  F-ing embarrassing.

That’s Indiana’s issue.

Absolutely not — unless I missed Indiana coming out and saying they support Sorsby’s return to college football after betting on his own team. That’s Tech’s issue, since they’re the ones footing the legal bills and publicly backing a QB who admitted to betting on his own games.

He doesn't need to be worried about them. Play them and then play Texas. That's like Texas playing Tech and then Ohio State.

I didn’t mind the little guy being around here, although strange. He just picked a weird hill to die on with this one.

Exactly. How can you respect a school that is fighting to get a QB reinstated who gambled on his own team he was currently playing with. He lost me there.

I read it as Sark's attempt to highlight strength of schedule more when the committee decides which teams get the last couple of spots in the CFP.

Tech can't do much about the weakness of their conference foes but they do control who they schedule out of conference and they didn't seem eager to add any teams with a pulse when they actually had a chance to do it.

The only thing I didn't like about Sark's comment was the shot about our 2's and 3's would (could? I forgot the exact quote) go undefeated playing that schedule.  We have good 2's at WR and maybe RB and a young but likely talented QB but our 2nd string OL looks pretty weak to be bragging about going undefeated in the Big 12.  Likewise on D we could field stout dudes at DL and EDGE and CB but I wouldn't have faith in our 2nd team LB and S units going undefeated.

As Bobby B pointed out the whole dust up looks like Sark trying to be the center of attention and not Arch and his second pre-season Heisman while Joey has effectively moved the convo off of Sorsby.

Both coaches did a good job changing narratives with these frivolous diversions.
