I don’t know how this getting out is good for the team or for the chances of this being resolved quietly.

This kind of stuff should be kept in house unless there is no choice but to report.

Thus seems like something that could have been kept under wraps longer…..jmo.

If he hadn't missed practices earlier in the week, it likely wouldn't have become what it is now.

I we can do now is see if it get works out. But it seems unlikely now. Hopefully there is resolution soon. Can't let this infect the locker room.

The defense being “a little ahead” despite missing 5 notable guys, learning a new system, and going against a 4th year QB is actually really encouraging, right?

I’d think success regarding points of emphasis matters most.  Of course, we’re limited on that knowledge because it may be player specific.

The defense was missing two of its biggest potential playmakers.

No material injuries still may be the biggest goal.

Ugggghhhh the suspense is killing me! He seems like such a good young man, hopefully this all gets resolved and we can focus on dominating the SEC and CFB this season!! @Joe Zura and I will wait impatiently for the rest of the story! Sounds like penalties were an issue on the OL sounds like #fireflood and those guys. Are going to get to do some extra fun and games for that!

He’s such a good kid he quits at the first sign of adversity. (If that’s indeed what happened) I’ll eat my words if it’s different

Jumping to conclusions about him quitting and why when we don’t know the story at all. He has been a good kid and teammate until this blew up today so I’ll err on the side of the young man until proven differently.

Quitting at adversity has no bearing on whether someone is a good kid. Get this trash out of here. We have no idea what he deals with internally and he’s 20 freaking years old.

Comments like this make me sick.

He'll be on the team this season. With the new 5 years to play 5 rule, he'd lose a whole year of pay. He's not passing up up whatever NIL he's receiving to sit out. And he's too important to the depth for the coaches to let him walk

Note on Tyanthony Smith

As has been reported, linebacker Tyanthony Smith has missed recent practice time (non-injury).

OTF was told it's in question if Tyanthony Smith will take part in the scrimmage. To add further, one source told OTF in the last few hours they don't expect Smith to take part in today's scrimmage.

Appreciate the update. August always finds a way to give us a mystery subplot. If it’s non‑injury and just scrimmage‑in‑question, sounds like one of those ‘we’ll know when we know’ deals. Camp gonna camp

Fair points, but NIL and the 5‑for‑5 rule don’t really explain a non‑injury absence. Guys don’t miss practice because they’re thinking about forfeiting a year -- they miss for team, personal, academic, or discipline reasons. Until he’s actually out there, it’s still a ‘let’s see what this actually is’ situation.

Use your brain. Sark is providing cover.

While I agree with this, it sure was lucky for Sark that he had the flu thing to use as cover.

Lol we can agree to disagree here. 20 is not a child. Idk why what I said struck such a nerve with you to react so vehemently. If what is being implied is true, he skipped out on practice and a scrimmage due to immaturity. That shows a lack of character and idc if that makes you “sick”. Grow up.

I’ll go with the HC when there’s a conflict on info.

If Sark wants the kid on the team then he shields the player. we knew before the practice there was an issue with him and they didn’t mention any of those other players having that same issue so it’s not that difficult.
