ArmyHorn Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago It's almost at this level. This weekend will either give me a heartbeat of hope, or it will tie the balloon to my hoof... Quote
WRNC Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago The ability of Texas defense to prevent chunk plays—yielding an FBS-best 12 plays of 20+ yards all season. Ole Miss gives up an SEC-high 153.5 rushing yards per game. Quote
SB21 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I’m optimistic the defense will do well enough to keep us in the game. but on the flip side I’m not optimistic in our offense keeping us in the game. hopefully they surprise me with an offense that moves the chains and doesn’t let us down again. 1 Quote
Roysterr Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Sounds like Ole MS can't lose and you get 2.5 points ! It's a sure bet, I think everyone should bet there mortgage on Ole MISS. SURE THING !!!!! As Ella says, I choose Texas Quote
Ben Blankenship Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago My reason for optimism is that they have made the plays to give them a chance to win the game. Late TD's vs Florida, Oklahoma, and Tennessee, and the 4th quarter vs Ohio State. Quote
Jordan91 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I am more interested in what happens if it’s a blowout on the home field. CDC, quarterback, Sark and a dozen other things are going to get white hot. Quote

Going into the game vs. Ole Miss this weekend, what area of the game do you have the most belief in? What's the most likely outcome to victory? OR, if Texas wins this football game, it is because ____ happens? *** A couple or bright spots recently. – Texas has scored first in each game this year outside of the Ohio State contest. – The Longhorns have touchdowns on three of its last four opening possessions. – The defense has allowed just 3 points in first quarters vs. SEC teams. – Longhorns defense has allowed 21 points just one time this season. – Texas defense is 9th in the country in points per drive allowed, at 1.34. – The Texas defense has allowed the fewest 20+ yard plays in the entire country (12, tied with Notre Dame). Not much faith on the O or special teams since it appears sark is making not real changes. Good thing arch has had a good week of practice since that hasnt been the trend lol. Quote
dentonhorn Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Lots of scenarios possible but, for some reason, I will go with the Texas wins easily one. Cooper has the most carrys and averages over 5. Arch, runs. Quote
hookem1014 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I don’t have any expectations honestly. I feel like I’m back in pre 2023 where if we win I’ll be happy, if not it is what it is lol 3 Quote

NTX_Horn Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago If the defense can get some turnovers and give the offense a short field, then Texas has a solid chance to win. Quote
FreeAgency Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I’m optimistic about all these losses compiling may compel some change in coaching after this season. I’m not rooting against Texas but, I am rooting against Sark right now. Quote
Moderators Hank South Posted 4 hours ago Moderators Posted 4 hours ago Cautiously optimistic for no reason other than CFB makes no sense this season. 1 Quote

LILP Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago We have yet to put together a complete game yet have held double digits leads in all but one game. The outlier was against the #1 team in the country, we all know the outcome of that game. This Saturday, Texas plays its first complete game of the season. You are going to see this offense go off for 41 points and win in a shootout. Hook 'Em! Quote

When I see video of Arch simply not looking, seeing open receivers and the OL with lookout blocks, I have ZERO confidence this ship is righted this year. Not with Flood, not with Arch. 1 Quote
Jared Driggers Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I’ve been negative all week but we’re going to win this game. You gotta have some optimism or hope, why else would you watch? 1 Quote

TheRoJoShow Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago Zero, but I’m sure I’ll get sucked in around the third quarter and be pissed when we lose, then vent on the postgame. Rinse repeat. Quote
AustinsTruth Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago Basically none. The small hope that maybe the offense can score 35+ for the first time. Can't see Ole Miss scoring less than 28. Quote
Thanos72 Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago 6 hours ago, CJ Vogel said: Going to be interesting in the time of possession/defensive energy department. Ole Miss is 8th in the country in seconds per snap offensively at 23.5 seconds. They go quick. The tempo really catches up to teams as well. Texas is 46th in the country at 25.6. Quick offensive drives that don't result in points from Texas could really hamper the defense on Saturday. Aka, no three-and-outs. We have to be the fastest overall with 76.8 per series. Quote
