I believe every single time the offense stalled, it was a result of Sark trying to do 12 personnel (and in particular, slow developing play action passing out of 12). He needs to shelve this crap for good this season IMO. We absolutely shredded Arkansas when spread out in 11 personnel, but then would get behind the chains any time we tried to do 12 just because Sark can't help himself.

Someone let Sark know we made it to the national championship game with a bad OL and no TEs one time. We need to run a Colt McCoy style of offense exclusively...

I'm not sure what Sark's fascination is with 12 personnel? If you want to run it, recruit actual TE's not tweener WR's.

It has worked ok for us in past seasons by holy cow it is a disaster this year. And we've played 11 games, so it is what is. Not sure why Sark has throw away 10 plays a game checking to see if 12 personnel will finally work this week.

Please stay in 11 vs A&M Sark.

You had TE's that could run it or that he actually utilized out of it. It's never really been that great blocking wise but this year might be one of the worst it's been. He should stick with 11 and go to 10, see what's what.

Good win, I’m nervous about our defense next week

You should be. 30 plus points 4 straight weeks. Arkansas had over 500’yards offense. Insert backup and no problem. He throws for 200 in a half.

The regression of the defense is staggering at this point. We’ve not an elite defense right now and I’m not sure we’re even good half the time.

Extremely disappointed in that side of the ball. The bright spot was seeing Kade Phillips compete. He’s gonna be alright. Same with Littleton. On the 40 the least amount of time and they are playing the best right now arguably. Fire Akina yesterday.

Not so sure the issue is Akina.  PK has always had that bend but dont break mentality.  Difference is He had Makuba and Jahdae back there masking the shortcomings, and for some reason Taaffe has not been the same player this year, bad angles out of position etc.you are going to have a really hard time playing man and especially press man with that mentality and thats the players that have been recruited.   Just saying the issue is much larger than Akina.

Not so sure it's bend but don't break he wants to play. Because they are one of the top teams in the country for sacks and they get plenty of pressure. There was a clear progression year over year with the secondary. Gideon/Joseph gone and an entire new room of DB coaches. Maybe they don't mesh well, maybe there's too many cooks in the kitchen, who knows.

But apparently now PK is the problem lol. I can't say it isn't surprising though, I knew there would be a drop off but I didn't think it would be this big of a drop off.

I was trying to point out that man and press man doesnt work well when you play that bdb defense.  This blame does not fall squarely on Akina, it falls on PK and Orphey as well. 2nd, the guys they have recruited are man and press man types not necessarily zone, 3rd when you play 8-10 off you give up free first downs up and down the field=worn out d, dont care how deep your roatation is, 4th Sark is responsible for the whole team with an emphasis on offense, PK is responsible for the defense.  Ive stated on here previously PK is a good coach, i do not think he is a championship level coach.  Not saying he is the problem but he aint the answer either.

who were the LBs after T smith was ejected? I saw Lefau and Barnes.  Anyone else rotate? or were trey moore and brad spence playing "LB."  not sure they have the sideline-to-sideline speed as Ant Hill.

Moore was the #1 problem with the TE passing game. He is almost useless in coverage. It was a bad choice to move him to off ball LB, because he doesn't possess the instincts for the position after primarily playing the edge for his career.

However, Taafe was easily the worst defensive player on the field in the 1st half, since he's come back from injury he has been in wrong place and the wrong time frequently.
