If Texas somehow doesn’t get into the playoffs for the second straight season because they can’t establish a run game, Flood needs to be let go. It boggles my mind how this problem has gone on for as long as it has. It’s been three seasons since Texas has had consistent success in the run. Why is that? The athletes are most likely better than they were. Is it the scheming just not meshing nine weeks into the season? I mean how is it possible to have thirteen yards of rushing from running backs alone in the first half. That’s scary man. Why isn’t it working? I honestly don’t care if Texas ends up winning it all, I don’t want to see another three million dollar receiver or running back tandem be wasted. I need a 5 million dollar interior line, especially at center. I don’t like being pessimistic about this team because it’s our team, but at some point you have to be real, and if I’m being real this team is the most bipolar running unit in the country. Please Texas make me eat my words.

Even if we make it to the playoffs, he needs to be fired. His offensive line is offensive, indeed.

Yep it’s like Kirk Ferentz retaining his son Brian Ferentz to be Iowa’s OC.  They still won games in spite of that, but the change clearly needed to be made.

Sark and Flood are besties. He's not going anywhere.  Just get that thought out of your head, because it won't happen. Perhaps he could bring in an assistant to help with the O-Line.  Something needs to be done. If it weren't for Arch being able to run, no way would a quarterback last a season.

The “success” we had previous to the last 3 seasons was heavily reliant on poorer competition (Monster Energy Big 12 Conf) and our back(s) being some of the best we have seen in a decade.  The O line was bad back then too.

Regardless of the season outcome this year. Flood has been unable to coach and produce INTERIOR OL.

He gets a pass on TACKLES but the trend of the run game regressing over the years is on him and sark!

The scheme might be too complex for the players to learn and understand and thats why I feel like they prioritize seniority in the program instead of playing the best player.

Poor talent acquisition, poor development and never coming close to replacing Herman’s RBs, TEs or Jake Majors and you end up with this:

Vary damning metric.

This has nothing to do with "scheme." It's simple inside and outside zone blocking. The Texas OL are just not making blocks. Movement, stunts, delayed loops, run blitzes, and all the other non-conventional defensive maneuvers are confusing them. Plus, they push like marshmallows and don't move a soul. No clever scheme in the world is going to fix that at this point in the season with the same players. Unless Sark gets rid of his zone guru and hires an OL coach who can actually teach gap and assignment blocking, and how to be physical and move people, his offenses will keep sputtering and get broken down on the side of the road.

Watched a good amount of the Texas State @ Boise State game last night.  I was thinking, what if Texas hired GJ Kinne to be their real OC and offensive play caller?  I'm not convinced Kinne would be a great CEO of an entire football program, but his offenses are pretty good.  Have him be the "HC of the offense" and like Muschamp, bring in his own guys for his offensive staff.  Obviously, this won't happen, but just a thought.

Before the last touchdown Manning threw, Terry and Cooper were running hard and had a jolt of energy and the line started blocking better. It really doesn't make any sense how they can still be this bad for this long now.

Arch looked bloody, battered and bruised in that game, and it's a damn shame that Sark and Flood seemingly don't give a damn that their quarterback takes a beating.

The ohio state game had me completely fooled on how bad they would be once again. I have unfortunately come to the conclusion that bad offensive line play, hit or miss offense, penalties and bad special teams are apart of a sark ran program. All of those have been a problem for two to three years or more with nothing but talk and excuses on how they are fixing them.

I’m tired of the “we’re working on it, and we’re frustrated because we’ve been harping on it all week”. Just go out there and prove it then! Not to all the fans or analysts, but to yourselves. I swear that was the motto going into the season, what happened to that? Is proving yourself right scrapping by games the same way every week and staying undisciplined?

Then pop Sark. Which if we miss the playoffs is on the table.

I could be wrong here but i see the beginning of the end for sark here especially if we miss the playoff’s again, he’s too hard headed and stubborn to make changes. Think he reached his peak here in 2023 and 2024.
