Just curious, how much is Texas even scouting/considering low G5 and high FCS talent, outside of Bennett, I haven’t seen anything else… just wondering if y’all know of some other guys they might have on their board… bc we’ve seen that transition work a lot especially this season

Texas has/is looked at about everyone

There is certainly a preference for proven guys against P4 competition, but they aren’t being P4 snobs either

It's like getting a girlfriend, but still talking to other women... just in case

I was at an event last night with a former Baylor player who is an NIL contributor

To say they are pissed that a former Baylor player is jerking them around is an understatement

I know no one has the answer for this, but why commit if you're still shopping yourself around? If I'm Baylor I pull my offer and tell him to kick rocks.

With who throwing the ball? As I said in another post, Texas is the only one with a bonafide QB right now and an O that can scheme him open.

That's my bias take anyway lol.

I agree…among the schools vying for Coleman, Only Arch has proven to be the most complete QB-Plysically, mentally elite

Regarding Indiana and their lack of 5 star athletes and the least amount of 4 stars in the playoffs:

Gerry has said many times that stars vary across the board and shouldn’t mean as much as true evaluations .  Unless I misquoted Gerry, I tend to believe Gerry’s statement.  Give him a corn dog with mayo!

Smart move by Coach; every NFL draft I'm amazed at the talent that comes from P4, and even lower...

Arch is 100% gonna be the most highly regarded NFL prospect next year, which means a lot of scouts will pay extra attention to Coleman (Not that they weren't going to watch him, just extra attention).
A great year and Coleman could go from a top 20 prospect to a top 5 prospect, playing at Texas would help him do that while building his brand.

Still, I don't know how much coleman is taking QBs in account in making his decision

It's Saturday January 10th, and here's the weather. Fans' tears continue to fall today as someone, somewhere, is upset at something. Stay frosty on the roads and watch out for emotional outbursts. The portal continues to heat up with the looming dead period so don't stay in it too long or you may get burned. Keep your emergency torch and pitchfork handy as the morning frost can quickly morph into a meltdown.  Small rays of hope are rising in the east as players whose names people actual know (not like those gems that only BALL KNOWERS know) might start pouring in. The National Weather Service has issued a Potential Commitment Watch for Travis County. Keep it tuned to OTF for the latest.

That’s good news on Coleman

still could be bad news If Coleman ends up at bama, I thought Horton would be a solid pickup if Cam didn’t choose Texas

Not all lol they do some really good things with veterans. Was at the VA about 10 years ago and they gave us all tickets to the Baylor/OU game that year, they let us walk into their library and read Elizabeth Barrett Browning. That's about everything nice I have to say about Waco. That school is weird because Waco is weird.

😂 I hate you so much right now. Here I am just trying to have a laugh on the message board and you had to bring up a position of need who I had no idea existed, now I'm going to spend my morning researching a center that Texas probably isn't getting.

Makes Haynes all the more critical

Haynes can’t be considered critical if we don’t even get him on campus…. There’s nothing saying we are even a actual option other than “there’s interest” but interest doesn’t guarantee we are even in the top 2 for him
