watty7796 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 (edited) A company founded in Texas and donated before the others mentions and likely is the reason Dell exists. Texas Instruments. TI cutting edge since the 1930s. My preference would be no sponsor as the Texas Brand is as valuable as any in the world and sells itself. Edited July 11 by watty7796 2 1 Quote
AusMOJO Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I wonder if Oregon is going to officially put Phil Knights face on their uniforms and fields? He's their sponsors already. Now to answer the hypothetical question, I like either of Marcus and Bobby's answer. Tesla would be a good one but with how Austin is, I'm not sure that would go over very well lol. Plus I'm not a fan of electric cars. But it would be the least invasive, with it just being a T and someone already posted a cool image of a burnt orange one. if it was going to happen, as long as it's a better deal than the Big 12 got, I'd be happy with it. Give the programs lots of extra cash, non invasive logo and I'm all good. Now preferably I'd love to have nothing and just keep it the way it is. But unfortunately the progress of college sports is already trending that way. I don't like it but no one cares about what some Aussie not even in the country has to say lol. Quote

Little Carmine Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Pretty awesome Texas can be choosers and not beggars if this ever happens. Texas is one of the biggest brands around and in a phenomenal market so it’s not like we have to get stuck with a grocery chain (looking at you Kroger / Kentucky) 1 Quote
Bobby Burton Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Tito’s would have been another IMO. Plus, he directly supports Texas athletics. 3 Quote

Red Five Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Putting anything associated with Elon Musk on our jerseys would be a good way to stop receiving any money from me. 3 1 Quote
Mark Futrell Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Based on the survey I received a couple of weeks ago, it is coming. No doubt about it. I know the lean is to keep the jersey clean, so how about this for an idea: We go to Nike and say we don’t want to add a Sponsor but it makes economic sense to do so, are you willing to step up and pay the price to keep the eyeballs only on your logo and not put on another companies logo? TTown Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Bottom line is it is coming I'm sure. Need all the revenue streams possible these days. I'm also positive we won't get fleeced like the Big 12 Monster deal either lol. Unless we steal this big idea from LSU that they say is coming. The so called revolutionary way to fund athletics and stop donor fatigue😂 Quote
